The Chisel Base is the lightest and fastest full suspension cross country bike ever made. It's 18.4% lighter than the nearest competition and delivers noticeably fierce performance. Thanks to the Epic 8's advanced kinematics and geometry combined with the innovative D'Aluisio Smartweld technology, riders can get the most out of themselves on speed metal between the tape or just have a wicked good time on their home trails.

Each aluminum tube is specifically shaped for its position in the frame and has different wall thicknesses. This makes it the most efficient full suspension XC bike made of aluminum. The steep seat angle positions riders centrally in the bike for optimal power transfer
• and the perfected Anti-Aquat reduces padel kickbacks. The Chisel converts every watt on the pedals into maximum acceleration
• GROOVE METAL: Specialized have given the Chisel flexible stays for maximum suspension performance. This and the D'Aluisio Smartweld design with its weight savings reduce the maintenance effort of the rear triangle enormously. Extensive field and laboratory tests have shown that the Chisel has achieved the impossible. While flex stays were previously reserved for carbon bikes, the Chisel with its specially shaped aluminum can easily keep up in terms of efficiency, control and low weight
• NO HEAVY METAL: The Chisel boasts a hydroformed seat tube that integrates the rocker pivot, main pivot and, in a totally innovative way, the bottom bracket shell. This saves extra material and weight compared to a traditional bike, where pivots and bottom bracket shells are welded onto the seat tube
