Demo Race

The Demo Race stands for maximum speed on the most demanding downhill tracks. And the new design of the frame lets you decide whether you want to ride a 29 or 27.5 inch rear wheel. Although Loïc Bruni won both the World Championship and the overall victory in the very first season of the new Demo in a full 29er setup, he has since been testing mullet setups in search of the perfect balance of grip and maneuverability. And in doing so, he leaves a lot of dust on the track for the competition.

From now on, you too will receive the Demo Race from the box in the Mullet setup. The flip chip on the chainstay allows you to choose between 27.5 and 29 inch rear wheels depending on the terrain and riding style. At the same time, it regulates the length of the chainstays and the height of the bottom bracket.

Our engineers have developed a very special chassis so that nothing can hold you back on the most difficult tracks. Due to the rear wheel axle being directed backwards in the upper suspension travel, the rear wheel lifts over curb-like obstacles instead of getting caught on them. This is how you gain those all-important seconds.

The kinematics, which have been tried and tested on World Cups, are supported by high-end suspension elements from Öhlins, while the X01 drive from SRAM, specially developed for downhillers, lets you shift through the gears safely and quickly between the start and finish line.

• The M5 aluminum frame of the Demo Race makes optimal use of the excellent grip of a 29-inch front wheel and the better maneuverability of a 27.5-inch rear wheel. Do you prefer to ride a full 29er or do you need a larger rear wheel for the next track? No problem. The FlipChip in the chainstay allows you to switch between both wheel sizes and at the same time adjusts the length of the chainstay and the height of the bottom bracket
• The Öhlins TTX22 M.2 steel spring shock absorber was developed for the most demanding Downhill World Cup courses. Low and high speed compression damping as well as rebound damping can be regulated independently. The trunnion mount additionally protects the bushings and significantly increases their durability
• The 200 mm travel of the Öhlins DH38 M.1 suspension fork provides an incomparable ride experience on downhill bikes: smoother, faster and safer than ever before. Small bumps are ironed out, violent impacts are swallowed with the greatest gusto
