With the new Shimano 105 Di2 groupset with 12 speeds, which now convinces even the last doubters, and the fast-rolling Turbo Pro tires with 700 × 26 mm, the new Tarmac SL7 Comp offers performance at an affordable price.

Highlights

• Aerodynamics were the main focus when developing the Tarmac, as with all of our racing bikes, but weight always remains the co-pilot on this journey to the optimal racing bike. In the past, aero bikes always came with weight compromises - to reduce drag, material had to be added in crucial places. With the Tarmac SL7 we had one goal in mind: to keep the weight at or below the UCI weight limit without compromising on aerodynamics. Using the FreeFoil Shape Library, isotopic finite element analysis (FEA), and a touch of engineering from the best engineers in the industry, we achieved exactly that. The FACT 9r carbon frame weighs just 1010g and does not compromise on aero, stiffness or ride quality
• In Specialized 's quest to create the perfect road bike, we rely on our Rider First Engineered™ philosophy. The Tarmac SL7 was intended to be the most balanced and manageable Tarmac - regardless of frame size. With a bevy of top athletes from our three World Tour teams – SD Worx, Soudal Quick-Step and Bora-hansgrohe – Specialized have made changes to the Tarmac based on their experience from thousands of kilometers ridden. We've balanced the ride quality between the front and rear wheels so even the longest days in the saddle remain comfortable. • Building on the knowledge gathered around the development of the Venge, the Tarmac SL7 uses simple integrations to provide a clean and, above all, fast cockpit. Specialized have improved cable routing for each component configuration - mechanical shifters, traditional stems, round bars, etc. - while maintaining aerodynamic properties. The same features also make servicing the Tarmac SL7 and traveling from race to race easier.
