technologies:
DOT 5.1:
Heat is the enemy of every braking system. Better heat management will also make your journey a lot safer. Namely, SRAM has found that DOT 5.1 takes three times longer than DOT 4 to reach boiling point. This ensures smooth and never-decelerating braking power in even more extreme conditions.
Heat Shield:
The Heat Shield is a small U-shaped stainless steel plate, which resembles a car's heat plate, preventing the heat from overheating the system. However, here is the heat from the brake pad to the caliper held out. Thanks to this small change, SRAM can lower the temperature by up to 20 °.
Compatible with MatchMaker and MMX:
With Matchmaker you save weight and space on your handlebars. Matchmaker incorporates Avid brake levers, SRAM® trigger switches, and various RockShox knobs in a lightweight and neat clamp-making a dream come true for anyone on the track to save space worldwide. The system is available in two versions: Matchmaker X accommodates RockShox® XLoc and is compatible with XX and X0 brakes. The traditional matchmaker is also available and works with any split handlebar clamp and any RockShox® PushLoc system.
Piggyback Reservoir:
The brake fluid reservoir on SRAM's current lever design is designed for optimal performance and easy handling. The PiggyBack reservoir provides a simple and secure brake fluid control solution, as well as two-sided lever mounting so you can swap levers on the handlebars and easily brakes like a motorcycle.
Expandable Bladder:
SRAM's new brake lever design incorporates a new bubble design that allows air bubbles to be regulated and reduced. The bladder is specially shaped to pump air out of the lever and transport the fluid to where it's needed. The result is improved backpressure relief for reliable and consistent braking performance.
Reach adjust:
The fit and ergonomics of the brake lever is a very personal matter. Each driver has individual position preferences as well as a unique hand size and finger lengths. With the reach adjustment, the lever can be easily adjusted for maximum control with just one finger.
