Trek has put a lot into this bike, including almost ten years of research and development by engineers and designers who wanted to set new standards in downhill performance and speed - and were extremely successful with their mission.

Session 29 is the future of downhill and is one of the first DH bikes with 29er wheels to play a pioneering role in the World Cup circuit.

Mino Link and the adjustable headset angle allow the geometry to be adjusted for precise handling.

ABP

Trek's patented ABP (Active Braking Pivot) technology provides active suspension at all times, whether you're braking or not. ABP ensures smooth, responsive chassis response at all times.

OCLV Mountain Carbon

Thanks to exclusive materials and precise lay-up processes, the most advanced construction processes and particularly stringent test standards, the carbon developed by Trek especially for mountain bikes is extremely robust.

Control freak routing system

The lightest, quietest and most versatile cable routing system enables any combination of cable routing for shifting, braking, lockout and dropper seatpost through the frame for a clean look and the ultimate customized setup.

Geometry adjustable via Mino Link

Adjust the steering angle (by 0.5 °) and the bottom bracket height (by up to 10 mm) by simply turning a threaded nut. Turn the threaded nut and choose between a flat and an even flatter geometry without affecting the performance of the chassis. Exclusive to Trek.

Integrated frame protection

The integrated frame protection protects the top tube from knocks from the double bridge fork and the down tube from stone chips. The downtube protection shield is interchangeable, so bikers can save weight when racing or replace the protection if necessary.
