Updated geometries
The geometries of the Urta SLR enhance the off-road driving style of Wilier Triestina's high-end products. A shorter rear end and a head angle of 69° make the bike compact, fast and balanced. In addition, the performance is improved on very difficult climbs and on technically demanding descents. Urta SLR was developed for optimal traction and excellent progressive response. The excellent torsional stiffness-to-weight ratio enables rapid acceleration and increased reactivity in sudden changes of direction.
Integrated monocoque handlebar Urta Bar
As with all high-end racing bikes, a lightweight monocoque carbon handlebar was also chosen for the Urta SLR. A solution that envisages the frame/handlebar system as a single highly integrated module and also makes it possible to minimize the overall weight of the bike. The carbon handlebar also improves vibration absorption and reduces wear on very demanding XCO/XCM courses.
Integrated shock absorber
Urta SLR is designed for 190x45 rear shock absorbers with 100 mm progressive travel. In order to optimize the driving dynamics, Fox Factory DPS FLOAT 190x45 and Rock Shox Sid Luxe Ultimate 190x45 were chosen. The optimized compression curves allow them to act in full synergy with the frame. The integration of the link not only improves the aesthetic purity of the Urta SLR, but also increases the torsional rigidity of the rear end.
double bottle holder
The Urta SLR is designed to be equipped with two bottle cages. This solution was necessary in order to minimize the driver's drinking breaks during races or during longer, intensive training sessions.
Improved rigidity
The rear end was developed with active swing arm technology. This solution combines vertical flexibility and torsional rigidity in the most efficient way. This allows an even greater absorption of loads and an even faster and more efficient reaction of the Urta SLR to the performance provided by the driver in every situation on the track. In addition, the higher pivot point and the integration system of the shock absorber ensure additional rigidity of the rear end.
Flat mount brakes
On the Urta SLR, the brake calipers are equipped with flat mounts as standard, just like on the racing bikes. The flat-mount brakes provide the same stopping power as traditional cross-country post-mount brakes. Since the typical post-mount bridge is missing, the chainstays have a balanced left and right flexion.
UDH derailleur hanger
Urta SLR is equipped with the UDH derailleur hanger (Universal Derailleur Hanger), which optimizes the function of the SRAM groupsets, but is also compatible with any latest generation rear derailleur. The use of the UDH derailleur hanger provides an additional integrated protection for the rear derailleur, which would run freely in the event of an accident without breaking.
Integrated cable routing
The shift, brake and shock absorber cable guides are integrated in the frame. In addition, a cable guide for a telescopic seat post can be integrated. In addition to the usual clean and elegant lines of the bike, the integrated cable routing also offers additional protection.
Carbon monocoque
Urta SLR is made of HUS-MOD carbon, which is also used for Wilier 0 SLR and Filante SLR. Perfect rigidity and precise reactivity of the Urta SLR are the result of the know-how that Wilier Triestina has developed over the years in close collaboration with the professionals of the World Tour.
Large translation range
The gear range of the 12-speed Shimano and SRAM single-crown drivetrain (510% gear range with Shimano 10-51 - SRAM 10-52 cassettes) allows you to tackle any incline or circuit, regardless of length or terrain bumps in the route.
Standard silicone chain guard and chain guide
The standard silicone chain guard dampens noise and absorbs shocks on the chainstay. The design of the chain guard is not only an effective protection against scratches and bumps, but also serves the aesthetic lines of the Urta SLR. The chain guide is supplied as standard. The task of the chain guide is to prevent the chain from falling on rough ground. This protection has become indispensable for high-end MTBs with a single crown. Like the chain guard, the chain guide was designed to fit perfectly into the overall design of the Urta SLR.
