The Zipp ZM2 hubs offer reliable performance for every type of trail. The hubs developed in Germany have 12 pawls and 132 engagement points for a more spontaneous start. The improved seal design increases durability. The ingenious thing about the ZM2 hubs is how Zipp achieves a faster response.

The ZM2 freewheel works with 12 pawls in 4 groups of three on a ratchet ring with 33 teeth. The 33 teeth offer a fast frictional connection with a reliable and steady acceleration.

The 4 groups of 3 pawls are offset. This means that 3 pawls always snap into place at the same time, which is good for durability. The freewheel of the ZM2 rear hub also has a very high load transfer capability, which means it is approved for use on e-mountain bikes.
