The GX Eagle AXS rear derailleur from SRAM is robust and now also wireless
Derailleurs should do their job, whether uphill under load or on the last few meters of a race stage. The GX Eagle AXS rear derailleur offers you everything you love about SRAM`s AXS components. The GX Eagle AXS rear derailleur is so smart that it protects itself thanks to its incredibly robust overload clutch. It was developed for a variety of rider preferences and is compatible with both their new, expanded 10-52 bandwidth and SRAM's 10-50 cassette.
The GX Eagle AXS rear derailleur comes from the proven GX Eagle series and is there to get the job done.
Technologies used
In this chapter we explain the technologies that the manufacturer uses for this product.
EAGLE ™
The Eagle ™ technology represents SRAM's latest 1x drive technology. Eagle ™ is a lighter, simpler, more resilient and easier to use drive. Eagle ™ has brand new 1x components that provide even greater resistance and performance and at the same time offer a significant weight advantage compared to other drive solutions. The Eagle ™ technology also has an extended transmission range of 520% and is therefore equivalent to 2x11 drives.
AXS ™
AXS ™ is the new integrated platform from SRAM to connect electronic bicycle components with the software. The SRAM AXS ™ app enables the driver not only to check the battery level, to influence the switching behavior and to configure the controls according to personal preferences, but also to create maintenance plans and update the firmware.
ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH ™
ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH ™ derailleurs offer maximum drive stability - even on grueling and highly demanding terrain. The ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH ™ technology puts an end to wobbling derailleurs and beating chains - without sacrificing precision.
CAGE LOCK ™
Thanks to the CAGE LOCK ™ technology in the rear derailleur, removing and installing the rear wheel and installing the chain are quicker and easier than ever. Simply slide the cage forward (to release the chain tension) and lock it.
X-HORIZON ™
The parallelogram design of the X-HORIZON ™ rear derailleur limits the movement along the horizontal axis, thus eliminating so-called “ghost shifting” and at the same time reducing the switching force. For faster and more precise gear changes, the large offset of the upper pulley ensures a constant chain gap in every gear.
X-SYNC ™
X-SYNC ™ 1x chainrings from SRAM ensure maximum performance and durability. The long SRAM X-SYNC ™ tooth edges grip the chain earlier than traditional triangular teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile as well as the rounded sloping edges support the chain guide. In order to offer the best possible performance even on muddy terrain, the X-SYNC ™ chainrings have recesses for the removal of dirt and mud for the inner chain links and rollers. The X-SYNC ™ chainrings made in Germany are an important part of the 1x ™ drive from SRAM.
