The DEORE M6100 is another member of the SHIMANO 12-fold component family. After the mountain bike flagship XTR, which set benchmarks, and the market launch of the DEORE XT and SLX, the DEORE rounds off the 12-fold lineup from SHIMANO.
Located in the entry-level and lower middle-class range in terms of price, the DEORE is hardly prepared to compromise when it comes to performance, quality and reliability. Almost everything that distinguishes the "big siblings" XTR, XT and SLX in terms of technology, innovation, performance and range of functions can also be found in the DEORE 12-fold components. Starting with the HYPERGLIDE + shifting technology, which represents a real quantum leap when shifting to the small sprocket, to DYNAMIC CHAIN ENGAGEMENT + for optimal hold of the chain on single chainrings with low friction at the same time, up to the new, stiff brake lever construction with additional support on the handlebars, which for even more more consistent braking performance, which provides either two or four-piston brake calipers, the DEORE has everything that characterizes modern mountain bike groups.
Leaving traces and lasting impressions, setting an example, realizing your very own, individual experiences of success, regardless of whether you are a hobby biker on the weekend or a professional in the toughest races in the world:
That is the core of "Make your Mark", the campaign motto for SHIMANO's 12-speed mountain bike systems. And the DEORE fits seamlessly into this motto. With the DEORE M6100, mountain bikes can also be created for a smaller budget, which enable even more riders to celebrate “their” success stories and to set standards in the saddle.
Technologies
Rapidfire Plus
RAPIDFIRE PLUS has been used by mountain bikers since 1985. RAPIDFIRE PLUS is still the first choice of various groups of riders, from XC racers to freeriders and downhillers. RAPIDFIRE PLUS is suitable for quick shifting. The driver can shift down by up to three gears with one shift. All RAPIDFIRE PLUS shift levers, from SHIMANO DEORE to XTR, are equipped with 2WAY-RELEASE (release in two directions). This means that the shift cable is released by pulling with your index finger or pushing with your thumb.
