Technologies used
In this chapter we explain the technologies that the manufacturer uses in this product.
butter cups
Pucks made from low-amplitude, vibration-reducing material... but RockShox prefers to call them ButterCups. ButterCups filter 20% of unwanted vibrations before they reach your hands. The gold mounts at the end of the damper and air spring hold two rubber pucks that absorb high-frequency vibrations before they travel through the fork and into the handlebars. ButterCups reduce overall hand and arm fatigue, giving you better feel and control on the trail.
charger 3
Already proven in the 2021 season with multiple wins on the podium, the Charger 3 is ready to wow the crowds too. The Charger 3 features an all-new Internal Floating Piston (IFP) design that provides more consistency throughout the stroke. Independent settings improve control without affecting each other. With the adjustable high-speed compression, low-speed compression and the revised low-speed rebound system, with which your wheel literally sticks to the ground, the Charger 3 can be adjusted even better to you. This silent design allows the rider to tune the bike to perfection with every click.
DebonAir+
DebonAir+ was designed to find the perfect balance between what mountain bikers really want: buttery smooth response, more support throughout the travel and a fork that sits higher in travel and inspires more confidence when the going gets steep.
Pressure relief valves
The pressure relief valves eliminate unwanted air pressure build-up in the fork tube assembly caused by changes in altitude or temperature. With the push of a button, the valves balance the pressures in the fork tube assembly for optimal responsiveness and premium fork feel.
Ultimate bushing package
The new bushing system for Ultimate class forks ensures the smoothest ride. Longer upper and lower bushings maximize overlap and reduce friction.
Maxima Plush Dynamic Suspension Lube
Maxima Plush Dynamic Suspension Lube lasts longer, reduces friction and improves fork performance on every ride.
End Cap Adapter
The use of RockShox Torque Caps gives our forks an additional 5% torsional stiffness. But if you're not interested in "free stiffness", all Flight Attendant forks now offer the option of using a standard end cap via a new adapter.
Boost™
Boost™ is a new wheel and drivetrain specification that offers improved frame geometry with shorter chainstays, wider and stiffer suspension, more chainring options, more clearance for wider tires, and increased wheel stiffness and durability.
