In this chapter we explain the technologies that the manufacturer uses for this product.
DualCompound
Two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. We plan the arrangement of the compounds according to the desired properties of the tires.
MaxxPro
The MaxxPro Compound is the first tire compound for bicycle tires in which the components were ground extremely finely. This mixture is ideal from all-mountain to downhill: more grip, good damping properties, long service life, low rolling resistance. And no tunnel tears - a success of the exclusive MAXXIS MaxxPro technology.
SuperTacky
The SuperTacky tread is the reference for grip and performance in freeride and downhill tires, in short the basis of the most successful DH tires in the world. It consists of a basic compound and the SuperTacky mixture, which is extremely grippy under all ground conditions.
3C Maxx Terra
The right 3C mixture for enduro and freeride tires. Ease of movement uphill and excellent grip downhill characterize this mixture as well as a long service life.
3C MaxxGrip
The well-known 3C downhill mix that many of the best downhillers have trusted for years is now called 3C MaxxGrip. 3C MaxxGrip offers the ultimate grip and the best cushioning properties for incomparable traction on downhills.
EXO protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains convincingly good.
Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no hose, the risk of a breakdown also decreases. MAXXIS TR tires are better prepared for assembly with sealing milk than other "tubeless ready" tires. Like a real UST tubeless tire, the bead of the TR tire is completely covered with a rubber layer. As a result, tubing-free assembly is successful on all rims with standard dimensions when they are inflated for the first time and with little liquid. “Normal” MAXXIS MTB tires can also be fitted with tubeless sealant like tires from other manufacturers because the carcass fabric is very dense. Only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless assembly and guaranteed by MAXXIS. The tubeless assembly of other models is at your own risk.
