The tire for cycling. For an optimal combination of good rolling and safe cornering with DualCompound tread made of two optimally adapted rubber compounds. To keep you always safely on course, the Gypsy has our safe SilkShield over its 60 TPI carcass, the all-round protection for tires from rim edge to rim edge, so that not only the tread but also the side walls are protected from punctures. This safety is especially important for fast e-bikes. Two versions of the Gypsy are approved for 45 km / h e-bikes according to ECE-R75, all other versions are suitable for pedelecs.

Silkworm
Silkworm Technology is a material developed by MAXXIS that protects the carcass of various models. It increases the puncture resistance and the tear resistance of the carcass. Silkworm is available as all-round protection over the entire tire (CapPly) or as reinforcement under the tread (Breaker).

SilkShield
Silkworm offers all-round protection, from rim edge to rim edge, thus preventing cuts and other defects on the tire sidewalls and under the tread.

E-bike
All MAXXIS tires can be ridden on pedelecs / e-bikes with assistance up to 25 km / h. Fast pedelecs with assistance up to 45 km / h must be equipped with tires that are manufactured in accordance with the ECE-R75 standard and have the relevant information on the tire. MAXXIS models with the ebike logo meet and exceed the requirements for tires for fast e-bikes and the ECE-R75.
