The new GRX wheel supports gravel riding and enables faster, longer and more exciting tours. Wider tires require wider rims to ensure the lateral stability of the tire even at low tire pressure. SHIMANO has carefully studied the complex relationship between tire width, rim width, tire pressure and lateral tire stability to optimize the GRX rim width for 32-50c tires. We also strived for the best balance of rim weight, strength and profile to create an outstanding gravel wheel.
