With the PowerTube 500, trekking and e-mountain bikes can easily handle even long distances. Thanks to its compact size and minimalist design, the battery integrates perfectly into the e-bike’s aesthetics. The sophisticated technology of the frame-integrated lithium-ion batteries ensures carefree riding enjoyment, and a locking mechanism prevents them from falling out, even on challenging terrain. Despite this secure locking, the batteries can still be easily removed.

Bosch PowerTubes provide a powerful energy boost for every ride and, thanks to their compact size and minimalist design, integrate seamlessly into the eBike’s aesthetics. They are available in two versions (horizontal or vertical) and are installed directly by the manufacturer, depending on the eBike model. Sophisticated technology ensures carefree riding enjoyment: a locking mechanism prevents the battery from falling out, yet it remains easy to remove. Bosch offers three variants of integrated lithium-ion batteries with varying energy capacities to cover all applications.

Highlights

  • No memory effect: Bosch batteries with lithium-ion cells can be charged for any length of time, regardless of their charge level. Interruptions in the charging process do not damage the batteries. A complete discharge is not necessary.
  • Very low self-discharge: Even after extended storage, e.g., over winter, the battery can be used without recharging. Bosch batteries do not need to be recharged after a long period of inactivity. For extended storage, a charge level of approximately 30 to 60% is recommended.
  • Long lifespan: Bosch batteries are designed for many tours, kilometers, and years of service. The intelligent, electronic Bosch Battery Management System (BMS) protects lithium-ion batteries from excessive operating temperatures, overload, and deep discharge.
